The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Katsina State chapter, has expressed appreciation to the state governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, for approving the review of parts of the new policies on Private and Community Schools in the state.
A statement signed by the state chairman of the association, Alh. Mansur Sani Jibia, said the review will better position private and community schools to contribute to the upliftment of the standard of education in the state.
"The National Association of Private School Proprietors, Katsina State chapter, hereby announces its appreciation and prayers to the Executive Governor of Katsina State for being a listening, engaging and caring leader.
"NAPPS equally appreciates all the entire members of the Katsina State House of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahya Daura, our own representative, Hon. Mustapha Yusuf Jibia, and the fatherly role played by His Excellency, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Secretary to the Government of the State, and his office in handling the negotiation between the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and NAPPS.
"The Association wishes and prays for more wisdom, success, protection, and guidance to His Excellency as he leads Katsina State to greater heights", the statement said.
The association assured the state government of its readiness to comply with the state's extant laws and regulations as well as its willingness to work with government and other stakeholders to strengthen the state's education sector in line with Governor Radda's Building Your Future agenda.
